Energy Brigades in Saphara, Georgia The monastery of Saphara is situated in a remote mountain area 10 km from Alkhaltsikhe, in the South - West of the country. It is the home of around 20 monks and novices, which live from simple agriculture and donations from the population. With some minor support from the Bishop of Alkhaltsikhe, novices and volunteers from the Georgian Greens insulated the windows of the cells in the seminary - the building where the novices live. The monks of Saphara also would like to take similar insulation measures in their cells. |
